Admit it. You pour over the pages of the latest People Style Watch scrutinizing celebrity trends, gaze at the glossy photos in Vogue or W magazine at the featured designer’s line, and even admire that girl next to you on the bus who has mixed her patterns so effortlessly…women are always on the lookout for the next trend or a new way to wear what we already have. We have a tough job, too. Trends are constantly changing, looks are always evolving, and through it all we have what I like to call our wardrobe staples. Those items, which never go out of style, can be easily paired with something to create a new trend, and exist sort of as the Golden Retriever of your closet–the reliable, well-loved, irreplaceable pieces. For me, they range from a few pairs of cherished denim to a pair of elegant black pumps to, most relevantly, nearly my entire jewelry collection.
I believe that a good piece of jewelry is invaluable. Jewelry is a statement of individuality–imperative for a true fashionista. Do you pair your little black dress with a bold cuff like the Silver Rose for a feminine sophisticated look? Do you prefer your LBD to be complimented by a splash of color, like the Spicey earrings? Maybe you’re bold enough to mix silver with gold (no longer a faux-pas) to add some striking contrast to a simple black dress by wearing the She’s All That earrings and the Horizon ring. If a classic look is more your thing, you’d probably tend towards that black dress and the Off-White earrings. See what a piece of jewelry can do for another wardrobe staple like the Little Black Dress? Jewelry can create a look, or it can add the finishing touch to your ensemble. It makes your entire outfit complete. It’s the whipped cream to your fashion sundae.
Luckily, Button Me Up jewelry provides us with limitless staples for our wardrobes. I would venture to call jewelry the wardrobe staple. It won’t wear out, the hem won’t come undone, it won’t shrink in the dryer. It is quite literally timeless. Imagine all the ways, for example, you could wear the Buckle Up cuff! It can dress up a maxi dress this summer, add a little flare to your tank & jean shorts combo, or be the perfect touch with a white cotton dress. Whether you are trying to keep up with the latest trends (are suspenders in? are fedoras out?) or you want to create one of your own, jewelry is a staple that can help you accomplish whatever you’re trying to do–even help you navigate away from “trendy” entirely. It will never go out of style, and it will always make your style uniquely “you.”
